The impressive four-day auction takes place in London between November 9 and 12. There are 1,785 lots in total, covering memorabilia within film, TV, and music. Prop Store was founded by Stephan Lane in 1998 and has steadily grown into one of the world’s finest sources for high-end entertainment memorabilia.
There are many impressive and jaw-dropping items currently offered for sale. The main character of the auction has got to be the golden head of C-3PO, which was screen-used in George Lucas’ 1977 classic Star Wars: A New Hope. Although it’s “only” the head and not the complete body, the estimate is placed at $600,000 to $1,200,000, which, according to some, is conservatively set.

The consignor of the C-3PO head is none other than Anthony Daniels, the actor who played C-3PO in eleven Star Wars movies. With such a rock-solid provenance, the interest in the lot increases a lot as collectors seek such details when buying high-end collectibles.

Another highly iconic and recognizable movie prop – also from the Star Wars franchise – is a screen-used fighter pilot helmet. This lot is expected to sell between $360,000 to $730,000.

Other spectacular film memorabilia featured in the November auction – without any Star Wars connection – includes a bullwhip used by Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones, and Leonardo DiCaprio’s full costume from Titanic when he portrayed Jack Dawson. Both the bullwhip and the custom are expected to fetch at least $120,000 each.
