Nō theatre is a form of traditional Japanese theatre that originated in the 14th century and is subject to strict regulations. Five different themes are performed, revolving around either a deity, a monster, a man, or a woman. Occasionally, dramas about current events are also shown. While the male dramas usually involve warlike themes, the female dramas are about love. By the 17th century, all the masks worn by the (formerly exclusively male) actors had evolved. On No Reserve Day, a handmade Nō mask from 1985 of excellent quality comes up for bid. It depicts Ko-omote, a young female character of rather sturdy build with high eyebrows and a smiling mouth.

On December 29, 2022, the world said farewell to Pelé, considered the most important footballer of the 20th century, with three World Cup titles, 1301 goals and several other achievements. In addition to his appearances for the Brazilian national team, Pelé played for Santos FC from 1956 to 1974, before retiring from professional sporting. However, he returned a year later and played for New York Cosmos until 1977. In the No Reserve Day football memorabilia auction, bidders will have a change to own four jerseys signed by Pelé, tracing the career of the exceptional athlete.

Bags from the French luxury label Louis Vuitton are coveted worldwide, which is why Catawiki is dedicating its own auction to them on No Reserve Day. One of the highlights is this extraordinary bag, with whose design Louis Vuitton more than literally takes up the classic bucket bag. The Paint Can bags are designed like a paint bucket, but exclusively in the six signature colors of the designer Virgil Abloh, who died in 2021.

If you love Art Deco and would like to furnish your home with its nostalgic charm, you can bid on this lamp attributed to the Spanish artist Enrique Molins Balleste (1893-1958). Molins Balleste was born in Barcelona but moved to Paris, where he mainly worked on designing sculptural lamps in the style of the time. At Catawiki, you can bid on this Danseuse au tambourin, with an illuminated tambourin held by a young lady performing the splits.

Christian Kernels is a Belgian sculptor who, in addition to his sculptural works, also creates furniture and lighting. He was trained at the Institut des Arts Saint-Luc in Tournai and initially devoted his artistic inclination to diamonds. Like a cut diamond with all its facets, this brass coffee table plays with the light that falls on it. The relief-like surface reflects the light and makes this beautiful piece of furniture shine.

Anyone who was interested in computer games in the early 1990s certainly misses Super Mario Bros. 3 from Nintendo, because the jump 'n' run game is, after all, one of the best-selling and most influential games of all time. The video game was created for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES), and one of these in a limited UK version from 1991 is up for grabs on Catawiki's No Reserve Day. Included is a Super Mario Bros. 3 game in a protective plastic case, with a WATA rating of 9.2 noted on it.
