Three and a half years after the burglary in the Green Vault in Dresden, in which historical jewels worth more than €100 million were stolen on the night of November 24, 2019, the Dresden Regional Court announced their verdicts for the six accused who came from a Berlin organized crime clan and had been arrested in several raids.
Five of the accused are serving prison sentences of between four years and four months and six years and three months for armed theft, serious arson and serious bodily harm, among other things, with juvenile criminal law being applied in two cases. The sixth defendant was acquitted because he was able to produce an alibi for the time of the crime.

Four defendants had their sentences reduced after they struck a deal with prosecutors last year that allowed 31 of the stolen valuables to be seized in December, albeit in damaged condition. Due to the fact that some pieces from the Green Vault are still missing, it is now being examined whether a civil lawsuit for damages of €89 million can be brought.
