Catawiki, the renowned online auction house, regularly offers outstanding collector’s items across a wide range of categories—from fine art to classic cars. However, things become truly extraordinary when Catawiki presents its Exclusive Selection Auctions. Once again, the time has come, and until April 12 and 13, bidders have the chance to acquire rare, beautiful, and remarkable treasures.
Here, we present six standout pieces from the auctions.

Let’s begin with an object that is anything but ordinary. Featured in the 'Exclusive Ancient Art Auction (Masterpieces)', this artefact brings antiquity back to life. Our highlight is the lid of an ancient Egyptian wooden sarcophagus, dating back to the Third Intermediate Period (XXII-XXIII Dynasties, 945–754 BC). Crafted for the mummy of a noblewoman named Isetenkhebit, the 174 cm-long lid is made of imported cedar wood and entirely covered in painted stucco. Its polychrome symbols and hieroglyphic inscriptions invoke divine protection for the deceased, who is also identified as the daughter of an Amun priest—explaining why she was buried in such a prestigious sarcophagus.

In the 'Exclusive Jewelry Auction', a particularly striking piece is this 18-carat white gold ring. The centrepiece of this stunning jewel is a 3.80 ct sapphire, surrounded by natural diamonds in various cuts, totalling 1.80 ct. Its authenticity has been verified by the GEM-TECH Istituto Gemmologico.

Fine wines also feature prominently in the 'Exclusive Wine Auction', including this Monfortino Barolo from the Giacomo Conterno winery. The 2013 Riserva has received glowing praise from leading critics, with US wine critic Robert Parker awarding it 98 out of 100 points—a testament to its truly exceptional quality

Pokémon trading cards have become highly sought-after collectibles in recent years, commanding five- and even six-figure sums at auction depending on their rarity, edition, and condition—with record sales exceeding $5 million USD. The game debuted in 1996, coinciding with the launch of the first Pokémon video game for the Game Boy, developed by Satoshi Tajiri of Game Freak and published by Nintendo. Among this auction’s standout Pokémon items is a set of two promotional Trainer cards, issued in Japan in 2017, featuring Team Rocket's boss and two members of the infamous criminal organisation. These ultra-rare cards have received a PSA 10 rating.

For classic car enthusiasts, the 'Exclusive Automobile Auction' offers a dream selection of 1960s icons, including a 1962 Chevrolet Corvette C1 Cabriolet, a 1966 Mercedes-Benz 230 SL Pagoda, and this 1962 Maserati 3500 GT. Maserati began series production of its road-going sports cars in 1957 with the 3500 Grand Turismo. Originally fitted with three twin carburettors, the model was upgraded in 1960 to the 3500 GTI, featuring a Lucas fuel injection system. Its six-cylinder engine delivers an impressive 260 hp.

Another gem from the 1960s is this 1967 Porsche 912 Coupé. Originally finished in Aga Blue, it now sports an eye-catching shade of yellow, beautifully contrasted by its black interior.
