Five swimming pools, a bowling alley, movie theater, nightclub, beauty salon, tennis court, 10,000-bottle wine cellar...while these sound like the amenities at an all-inclusive resort, all of these are found at America's largest (and most expensive) private residence: The One in Bel-Air, California. Eight years ago, film producer-turned-developer Nile Niami, who has built and sold homes to celebrities like Sean 'Diddy' Combs and the Winklevoss twins, broke ground on what was dubbed "L.A.'s biggest residence." Topping 100,000 square feet, the sprawling home is built into the hills above Los Angeles, with 360-degree views of the city, the Pacific Ocean and the mountains.

The 105,000-square foot home, spread over nearly four acres, spares no expense and boasts mind-boggling specs. The modernist masterpiece was built for living on the grandest scale with 21 bedrooms and 49 bathrooms (42 full, 7 half). The 26-foot ceilings cap floor-to-ceiling windows that frame the spectacular views, but also make generous space for custom large-scale artwork and sculpture, which come with the home.

The owners will enjoy a 4,000-square-foot master suite that boasts an enormous boutique-style walk-in closet and private roof pool. The rest of the house flows seamlessly between indoor and outdoor areas, with family lounge areas that abut the residence's wraparound swimming pools. While covered patios dot the exterior of the house for outdoor eating, the indoor dining room is lined with a glass-enclosed 10,000-bottle wine cellar.

Further luxuries beckon. An entertainment room has a four-lane bowling alley, bar, cigar lounge, 40-seat movie theater and a nightclub. For more restorative pursuits, there is a hair salon, nail spa, gym, and indoor pool. Outdoors, residents and guests can relax at one of the multiple swimming pools and decks, practice their golf on a putting green, play at the tennis on the court or run on the glass-enclosed jogging track. The house was made for entertaining, or a car collector, with garage space for 30 cars. There is also a 3-bedroom guest house to host more guests.

Although one may never have to leave the property, The One is centrally located to the best of L.A., only 15 minutes drive from Beverly Hills and shopping on Rodeo Drive, and 25 minutes to downtown L.A. and LAX airport.

Niami originally listed the home for $500 million, but financial trouble forced a foreclosure. Though it is currently listed for $295 million, it will come up for auction at Concierge Auctions (acquired last year by Sotheby's) on March 3, with bidding starting on February 27.

A home of this quality and size will likely never come again to market any time soon, making it a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for the world's wealthiest to buy in the Los Angeles area, and could set a record for the most expensive home sold at auction.
