This upcoming French sale will surprise even the most seasoned collectors: between Asian art, master paintings, art-deco-period literature and vintage cars, the selection promises to delight.
‘Petites baigneuses’, an important artwork by Félix Vallotton, is the undisputed star lot of an upcoming auction. Privately preserved for more than five decades, the 1893 painting will be presented alongside major works by Foujita, Derain, Erró, and Francis Grüber.
"The story of this Caravaggio began in Toulouse, and it will end in Toulouse," said Marc Labarbe. After five years of research, a Toulouse auction house will hold the sale of Caravaggio’s ‘Judith and Holofernes’ later this month.
Exclusive limited editions of the iconic ‘Non-Violence’ knotted gun are now available as a collector’s object on the Non-Violence Art Project website. Next month, the Non-Violence Project is also presenting a version of the work signed by the Dalai Lama at Sotheby’s.
