Zenith - 'El Primero Grande Class' - Multicity Traveler Open - GMT - Ref

Welcome to my Top Swiss Chronographs Boutique! Zenith SA was started in 1865 by Georges Favre-Jacot at the age of 22, in Le Locle (canton of Neuchâtel), Switzerland. In January 1969, Zenith announced imminent launch of first fully integrated, high-frequency, automatic chronograph movement "El Primero". Today, Zenith wristwatches meet or exceed rigorous timekeeping C.O.S.C. standards, a reflection Zenith's history of innovative precision timekeeping. The offered Ref. 03.0520.4037 is an interesting and relatively rare Zenith from the Thierry Nataf era—large, technically sophisticated, and highly characteristic of Zenith’s design language in the mid-2000s. Its complete model name is generally given as the Grande Class Traveller Open Multicity. This is not merely a decorative open-heart watch. It contains a genuinely complicated manufacture El Primero movement combining a chronograph, GMT/Multicity display and power-reserve indication. Stylish and sophisticated, the offered iconic timepiece combines the traditional precision of the famed mechanical chronograph and a modern look of first-class materials. It is a gentlemen’s dress chronograph wristwatch that internally utilises one of the most highly regarded movements ever produced. Just look at this movement (through the transparent case-back): this is a true ode to watchmaking! Technically, this is a magnificent and unusual watch—far more interesting than many modern Zenith models available for similar money. It contains a genuine high-frequency El Primero with several useful complications. General professional pre-sale service was made in January 2026: the watch is keeping good time and working perfectly. Excellent condition, never worn: the wristwatch comes from luxury watch-shop showcase; every morning the watch was put on the stand in the shop window, every evening it was removed from the window. This action has been repeated for many years and day after day, so the strap doesn't look brand new from the inside. However, no one has ever worn it on their wrist.
