Zaccagnini - Zaccagnini - Statue

Rare and imposing pair of ceramic glazed animal sculptures at life size, depicting a rooster and a hen. The pieces represent a valuable example of the mastery of the historic Florentine manufactory Ugo Zaccagnini, famous internationally for the high quality of its maiolicas in the 20th century. Marks and Authenticity: Under both bases are the hand-painted factory marks: the characteristic "Z" crossed by a wavy line, the inscription "ITALY" and the respective catalog model numbers, A 760 for the rooster and A 761 for the hen. Conditions: The overall visual impact is excellent and the enamels retain their original brilliance. However, as period-size large ceramics, there are signs of aging.
