全部拍賣 / Contemporary Art / Yvon Laurent - Les murmures du dedans
Laurent Yvon (born 1984) - The Murmurs Within (2024) Mixed media: collage and acrylic painting Dimensions: 71 x 60 cm (framed) A chorale composition gathering several faces with contrasting expressions, like multiple inner states superimposed. The figures, treated with flat color fields, sharp lines, and pasted fragments, fit together in a dense space where geometry, scratches, and transparencies mingle. A vivid palette (oranges, blues, purples, blacks) is rhythmically punctuated by linear highlights and vertical streaks that cross some lines, intensifying the impression of tension and overflow. The whole evokes a mental theatre: a murmur of thoughts, masks, and contradictions, where each face seems to capture a different voice of the same narrative. Contemporary visual artist, Laurent Yvon develops an expressive body of work centered on human emotions. Influenced by figures such as Jean Dubuffet or Egon Schiele, his work is part of a sensibility close to brut art and surrealism. His intense compositions, often articulated around the face and the body, convey an instinctive approach to drawing and painting, where fragmentation and hybridization of forms become the vectors of a strong emotional charge. Framed Certificate of authenticity present on the back of the canvas
