Yvon Coté Fish

Grande-Vallée, Québec. C. 1980. A lifelike rendering of a trout. Coté’s characteristic knife work remains clearly visible in the details of the fins. The finish beautifully showcases Coté's innovative technique, utilizing intricately layered pencil crayons sealed under a rich varnish to give the scales a soft, natural sheen. Unsigned.
