Yoshi Takata ( 1916-2009) - Original Silver Print...

Yoshi Takata (1916-2009) is a famous Japanese female photographer; she came to Paris to learn photography, met Pierre Cardin soon after her arrival and became for 40 years a specialist in fashion photography with a renown worldwide. She also did portraits (stars and ordinary people), landscapes, and a lot of photographs of Paris. The photograph is from the series "Mémoires de Paris", titled "L'étang de Tuileries" written on the back by Takata (on the tape it's noted "Dessin de neige aux Tuileries") dated 1984 with Takata signing on the back. Gelatino-Silver print. Also the tape of the gallery in Tokyo and that of the framer. Mounted with a passe-partout (17 x 12 cm, visible) framed with a black aluminium frame (31 x 24.5 cm) underglass (acrylic). In excellent condition. I have uploaded Takata's biography and 2 famous photos of her (one from the 50's and the other with her dog from the 60's; these aren't in the auction). #japanweek_art
