Rare Hexagonal Yixing Teapot with Pine, Bamboo and Plum Blossom Decoration China, Qing dynasty, 19th century A finely crafted hexagonal Yixing zisha teapot, potted in rich purple clay and decorated in applied relief with the auspicious “Three Friends of Winter” motif: pine, bamboo, and plum blossom, symbols of perseverance, integrity, and renewal in Chinese literati culture. The spout is modelled as a bamboo joint, the handle as a flowering plum branch, while the cover is formed as intertwined pine branches, creating a harmonious naturalistic composition.
