x 10 TEKTITE LOT - Best quality! - NICE SHAPE

Tektites (from Greek tektos, melted) are natural glass objects that have formed from the impact of large meteorites on the surface of the Earth. Tektites are the driest minerals known, with an average water content of 0.005%. This is very rare, since most of the craters where tektites formed were underwater before the impact. Partially melted zircon has also been found inside some tektites. This, along with the water content, suggests that tektites formed under very high temperatures and pressures (similar to those required to form diamond). Indochinites like the one in this batch formed from the impact of a large meteorite 800,000 years ago, according to the latest studies. The shock was brutal, such that molten material covered 10% of the Earth's surface, with indochinites even found in Antarctica. These specimens are natural, of good size and handsome shape, of excellent quality, and perfect for jewelry making, resale, or gifts. Do not miss this opportunity. We belong to the leading global associations related to meteorites: GMA (Global Meteorite Association), IMCA (International Meteorite Collectors Association) and The Meteoritical Society, which is why we send a certificate and guarantee the authenticity of all our meteorites for life.
