Wood and metal sculpture by Fred Leyman

Beautiful sculpture by Fred Leyman, made with wood arranged on a black lacquered metal frame that is arched in the base. Beautiful wood full of knot holes, great contrast between the stark metal and the organic material. The composition has a musical quality, something that is often found in Leyman’s work. This sculpture is part of a suite of four sculptures and this one features a lighter kind of wood.
