Technically speaking in technical terms, this Treasury Certificate issued by the State of Vermont offers testament to circulation consistent with the middle of the grading spectrum. Yet this consideration is arguably secondary against the signature penned at right. Endorsed by Ira Allen who served as the state's Treasurer from 1778 to 1786, Allen was a member of the Green Mountain Boys along with his brother Ethan who is best remembered for his exploits during the American Revolutionary War including the Capture of Fort Ticonderoga in 1775 which secured important artillery pieces for the Continental Army which were later used to defend Boston.
