This variant of the Strawberry Thief by William Morris uses a very delicate, elegant, and luminous palette, with powdery tones that convey calmness and refinement. Main colors: - Warm ivory: the background is an off-white cream tending toward ivory, which brightens the design without appearing cold. - Sand beige: present in the branches, ornamental motifs, and many botanical details, it provides a natural, soft effect. - Light taupe: used in the leaves and floral shading, adds depth without weighing down. - Pearl gray: appears in the flowers and foliage, creating a refined contrast with the warmer tones. He originally created the tapestry after watching birds stealing strawberries from the garden of his home in Kelmscott Manor, Gloucestershire. Morris was among the leading founders of the Arts and Crafts movement; he is considered a forerunner of modern designers and profoundly influenced architecture and architects of his time. He is widely regarded as the father of the Modern Movement, although he was not an architect himself. He founded a design studio in collaboration with artist Edward Burne-Jones and the poet-artist Dante Gabriel Rossetti, which deeply influenced church and house decoration in the twentieth century.
