Wawapod (1991) - Calligraphie Bleu 1

42 x 29.7 cm A3 piece unique on 300g art paper framed? no frame 2026 Since 2018, Warren Podguszer, known by the pseudonym Wawapod, has immersed himself in the worlds of Pop Art and street art in Paris, developing a unique style that merges geometry and popular iconography. His work is distinguished by reusing emblematic icons through accumulations of dots, paying homage to art history and to popular figures he admires. His works often have an initial abstract reading that becomes figurative depending on the distance from which you view them. He likes the idea that each person observing his works does not necessarily see the same thing, but above all he enjoys playing with the observer’s eye. By diverting certain masterpieces, he aims to rediscover them by the general public and invites them to explore the history of art in a playful, modern, and democratic way. Possibility to pick up the work in the Paris region. This work is a unique piece and hand-signed on the back by the artist. Technique: Acrylic painting on paper. Wawapod is a Parisian artist and street artist who holds exhibitions across the country. His works are shown in several galleries in France and Europe. WAWAPOD belongs to the same artistic movement as: Jacques Villeglé, Invader, Jef Aerosol, Speedy Graphito, Vhils, Banksy, Mr Brainwash, Obey (Shepard Fairey), OneMizer, C215, Basquiat, Keith Haring, Andy Warhol, and Jérôme Mesnager.
