Wall shelf unit - Wood - Rococo shelf

PAIR OF WALL CONSOLES IN LUIGI XV / ROCOCO STYLE – GILT WOOD DESCRIPTION – ITALIANO Elegant coordinated pair of wall consoles in Louis XV / Rococo style, made of carved and shaped wood with a refined gilded finish. A particularly decorative ensemble, characterized by sinuous lines, moving shapes and rich ornamental details inspired by the eighteenth-century taste. The two consoles feature a strongly shaped structure, with undulating fronts, curvilinear profiles and elegantly curved legs, which confer lightness and movement to the entire composition. The front is enriched with central shell and scroll motifs, accompanied by foliage carvings on the sides. The gilding presents a warm and slightly antiqued tone, with variations and normal signs of time that enhance the vintage and decorative look. Both consoles are equipped with a front drawer, with wooden interior. The photographs also show the rear and lateral structure, allowing appreciation of the construction, depth and the particular shape of the legs. PREPARED FOR A TOP SURFACE An especially interesting element is that the consoles are prepared for the application of a top surface, which is not included in the lot. The future buyer will be free to choose the material and style of the top surface according to personal needs and the environment in which they will be placed. It is possible to make a top in: * marble * glass * wood * stone * granite * or any other material of choice. This feature makes the pair particularly versatile and allows it to be turned into a customized composition, while keeping intact the decorative structure of the consoles. The top can also be chosen based on the intended use and the style of the environment. STYLE Louis XV / Rococo, with typical features of 18th-century French-inspired decorative furniture: sinuous shapes, undulating profiles, Cabriole legs, shell motifs, scrolls and vegetal decorations. PERIOD 20th century, in Louis XV / Rococo style, with stylistic attribution based on visible decorative and construction characteristics. MATERIALS Carved and shaped wood, gilded finish and interior wooden parts. CONDITION The consoles present themselves in good vintage condition, considering their age and the nature of the objects. Normal signs of time and use are present, including slight abrasions, small imperfections, variations in gilding and signs of conservation. The interiors of the drawers show normal signs of use and time. These aspects should be considered part of the history and patina of the objects. It is recommended to carefully observe all photographs, which constitute an integral part of the description and show the consoles’ aesthetic and structural conditions from different angles. ENVIRONMENT AND USE A pair with strong visual presence, ideal for entrances, living rooms, corridors, elegant bedrooms, boutiques, hotels, restaurants, historic residences or both classical and contemporary settings. The two consoles can be used together in a symmetrical manner, for example on either side of a mirror, artwork or architectural element. Thanks to the preparation for a personalized top, they can be adapted to different interior design projects. Important note: being wall-mounted consoles, fixing must be carried out using systems appropriate to the total weight of the structure and the future top, choosing anchors and supports suitable for the wall type. ⸻
