全部拍賣 / Miscellaneous / Wall lamp (2) - Crystal, Brass - Murano Venetians
They are wall sconces that condense the Venetian elegance of the early 20th century, when artisanal Murano glass reached a level of virtuosity that turned each lighting fixture into a small luminous sculpture. Here, the hand-worked glass—transparent, with that slight warm tint that breathes tradition—is paired with golden metal arms that hold the cups as if they were open flowers. The ensemble has that intimate theatricality so characteristic of Venetian lighting: light that not only illuminates, but decorates, that vibrates, transforming the wall into a stage. The crystal cups, with their frosted finish and engraved motifs, evoke the old Murano tulipas, where glass was softly molded to imitate petals, corollas, organic shapes that seemed to spring from the metal. Each piece shows small variations, signs of the hand of the master glassmaker: differing thicknesses, reliefs that catch the light, edges that open like flowers at dawn. The golden arms, adorned with floral details and tiny crystal teardrops, reinforce that Venetian language that blends exuberance and delicacy. They do not seek rigid symmetry, but a dynamic, almost musical balance, where each curve accompanies the fall of the crystals and the shine of the metal. Taken together, this pair of sconces is a perfect example of Murano Venetian craftsmanship in its transition toward modernity: pieces made to illuminate, yes, but also to celebrate the beauty of hand-worked glass. Tracked shipping and secure packaging.
