Weingut Vollenweider, at Traben-Trarbach on the Mosel, is the estate of the Swiss-born Daniel Vollenweider, who revived the old, own-rooted vines of the great Wolfer Goldgrube, a slate amphitheatre that is the heart of his range. This is a Riesling from that vineyard. 2020 was an excellent Mosel vintage. Mosel Fine Wines scored it 96, Julia Harding MW gave it 17.5 out of 20, and Stephan Reinhardt reviewed it for Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate.
