Vitra - Charles Eames - Side table - Model A - Cherry wood - Vitra

Vitra Stool Model A — Cherry wood Original Stool Model A, designed by Charles & Ray Eames and produced by Vitra, executed in a warm walnut wood finish. The Stool is among the characteristic small pieces of furniture from the Charles & Ray Eames oeuvre. Although the design was originally conceived to be simple and functional, its sculptural form and refined use of materials give it a strong, independent presence. Model A is distinguished by its compact, solid form and carefully rounded contours. The use of walnut emphasizes the natural character of the wood and gives the object a warm, restrained appearance. The Eames Stool is versatile in use and can be applied as a stool, side table or purely as a decorative design object. Precisely because of its modest size and clear design, it blends easily with other iconic pieces of furniture.
