全部拍賣 / Sculptures / Vintage Creative Kokeshi 'Chigo-sakura' 36 cm tall /...
Vintage Creative Kokeshi by Watanabe 36 cm tall Chigo Zakura reached the peak of her popularity when one day she was chosen from among many to be offered as a gift to the Beatles during their visit to Japan in 1965. This kokeshi doll is made by a Yajiro-style artist Masao Watanabe, who won a Japanese Prime Minister's Award in 1963 and 1971. The decoration is very distinctive and stands out for its elegant stripes in warm red and black tones that evoke the suggestive nuanced colors of a sunset. The item is in vintage condition with remnants of a wash glaze, please use the zoom function. There are no customs duties when shipping within the European Union! The item will be carefully packaged and shipped. Please note that the packaging was done by an individual and not by a professional service, so perfect packaging quality cannot be guaranteed. Thank you for your understanding.
