For sale a refined and imposing antique gilt bronze valet tray (vide-poche) from the era, designed and crafted by the renowned French artist and founder Monique Gerber (historic Art du Bronze studios, France) around the 1970s. The piece belongs to the famous sculptural series "ROC," inspired by the harsh forms of natural rock and rough stone. The outer edges display a magnificent and complex textural treatment in perfect modernist and brutalist style, while the wide interior cavity is superbly mirror-polished, ideal for receiving keys, coins, or jewelry with maximum elegance. Unlike many unsigned pieces produced at the time for corporate gifts, this item is fully authentic and bears the original hand-engraved monogram "MG" on the inner bottom surface of the gilded area (with the distinctive geometric relief letter "M" and the italic, looped "G"). It is the largest and most massive model in the series, a highly collectible piece with striking visual and tactile impact.
