Victor Saglier XIX ème - Jardinière - Silvered bronze

Remarkable jardinière manufactured in the workshops of Victor Saglier in Paris around 1900 from a drawing by the eminent Art Nouveau designer Louis Majorelle. Organic and asymmetrical floral ornaments cover the entire object. The feet and handles are also molded in the shape of a floral ornament. Majorelle had workshops for furniture and metalworking, where he produced furniture, accessories and lamps, while his metalwork and notions were made by the Victor Saglier silversmithing house, with whom Majorelle collaborated in the early years of the 20th century.
