verres à pied uranium - Drinking service (6) - uraniferous glass -

Superb set of 6 antique liquor or brandy glasses, dating from the early 20th century, around 1900-1920. They feature an elegant rounded bowl in yellow-green glass, mounted on a long slender stem and a circular foot. These glasses attest to the craftsmanship of ancient artisanal glassmaking. They are mouth-blown and hand-worked, as notably suggested by the polished pontil visible under the feet. Their peculiarity lies in their composition in uranium glass, which reveals spectacular bright green fluorescence under a 395 nm UV lamp. Their slender silhouette and small bowl make them ideal for serving liqueurs and brandies. An antique set full of charm, perfect for collectors of antique glassware and uranium glass. Condition: perfect condition, with no chips or cracks
