全部拍賣 / Furniture, Design & Mirrors / Vase - Gilt bronze - Napoleon III style trumpet vase
Elegant antique French trumpet vase (soliflore) in crystal on a finely faceted fire-gilded bronze foot. This majestic vase combines the purity of high-quality crystal with the rich appearance of French bronzework, characteristic of the refined taste during the Napoléon III and early Belle Époque period. Features: Crystal: The vase has a classic, slender trumpet or bowl shape (cornet) that leads to a gracefully wavy, festooned upper rim. The crystal is etched with subtle vertical bands or optical ribs that beautifully break the light. Bronze mount: The crystal rests in a richly decorated collar with stylized foliate ornament (acanthus leaves), which flows smoothly into a richly worked, round base. The base is adorned with finely faceted reliefs, garlands, and neoclassical ornaments. This type of luxury glassware was produced in France at the end of the 19th century and is stylistically and finishing-wise closely related to the designs of renowned French crystal houses such as Baccarat. A stunning decorative piece that fits beautifully on a fireplace, sideboard, or as a centerpiece on a chicly laid table.
