Vase - Cloisonné - China - Two Jingfa vases (No reserve price)

Exceptionally elegant pair of Chinese cloisonné vases, produced in the second half of the twentieth century, around the 1970s or 1980s. This harmonious couple is handcrafted by the renowned Beijing Enamel Factory in China under the official quality mark Jingfa. One of the vases still bears on the underside the original and rare red factory sticker with the stylized logo of the Temple of Heaven in Beijing, which decisively proves the provenance and authenticity of this set. The pair stands out for a rarer, bright white enamel background that beautifully brings the continuous decoration to the fore. The refined design features a detailed red-brown peacock perched on a rocky branch, surrounded by large blooming purple peonies and fresh green bamboo leaves. The reverse side of the vases shows a flying bird among various floral motifs and cloud patterns. Particularly appealing is that the vases are designed as mirror images of each other, making them aesthetically perfect as a set. The technique behind these objects is pure traditional handcraft. On a base of copper or brass, ultra-thin metal wires are soldered to form the contours, after which the cells are precisely inlaid with colored enamel paste and baked at high temperature. The interior of the neck displays the authentic brass color, while the foot rings and rims are finished with a gold-colored braid. The underside of both pieces features the characteristic blue enamel protective layer. Both vases are in an excellent and undamaged condition. Each vase measures 20.5 cm in height and 10.5 cm in diameter at the widest point. The total net weight of the pair is 1,274 grams. This lot represents a valuable and decorative addition for lovers of Asian art, Chinoiserie, or Hollywood Regency interiors. Dimensions: 20.5 x 10.5 x 10.5 cm per piece Weight: 1,274 g total
