Undated (possibly ca. 1793) Washington Success Medal. Small Size.

Undated (possibly ca. 1793) Washington Success Medal. Small Size. Musante GW-44, Baker-267, W-10875. Brass. Reeded Edge. AU-55 (PCGS). Premium Choice AU quality, the surfaces are predominantly rich brassy-olive copper and exude originality. The central reverse exhibits a halo of light pewter-silver color around the eye where some tinning remains. Softly frosted with some nice gloss, the surfaces are smooth and inviting in the absence of even trivial blemishes. Softly struck at the eye, as expected for the type, although this feature is basically outlined, and all other design elements are boldly to sharply defined. An outstanding type candidate in a reeded edge small size Success medal. Provenance: From the Emerald Coast Collection. PCGS# 783. NGC ID: 2VZB. Click here for certification details from PCGS.
