Udo Lindenberg (1946) - „Lindenberg Lounge“ Sylt - signiert - gerahmt

For sale is a contemporary collectible from the artistic world of the German rock idol and painter Udo Lindenberg: an original exhibition and gallery card of the well-known musician and painter Udo Lindenberg. * Publisher: Hof Galerie Sylt (Westerland / Morsum) * Subject: Self-portrait by Udo Lindenberg * Item type: Gallery card * Signature: Hand-signed by Udo Lindenberg * Framing: Silver aluminum picture frame (Format: 18 x 24 cm) * Passepartout: White, acid-free bevel-cut mat (thickness: 1.4 mm), mounted with acid-free adhesive strips * Condition: Flawless, mint condition and ready to hang The gallery card shows Udo Lindenberg’s perhaps most famous graphic: a minimalist self-portrait. This fine line drawing presents the artist’s iconic persona with its unmistakable attributes – hat and sunglasses – in profile. This motif holds a special place in Lindenberg’s overall work, as it was also chosen as the central cover for his large, comprehensive art volume “Das Lindenwerk – Malerei in Panikcolor.” The gallery card was originally issued by Hof Galerie on Sylt (Morsum) as the official accompanying medium for the opened in 2010 “Lindenberg Lounge.” This lounge was one of the first fixed exhibition spaces in Germany created exclusively for presenting Lindenberg’s pictorial work and his famous “Likörellen.” This collectible documents an era of the Sylt art scene that has since faded: the original selling gallery no longer exists in this form. From the historic exhibition rooms in Morsum, the exclusive and still-active Hof Galerie hotel was soon converted. There, among other things, a special Udo Lindenberg Suite serves as a reminder of this creative phase.
