Story & Heritage Timex has a long history in American watchmaking, becoming particularly famous during the second half of the 20th century for producing practical, dependable and accessible mechanical watches. During the 1960s and 1970s, Timex watches became everyday companions for millions of owners. Rather than focusing exclusively on luxury, the company built its reputation around robust construction, functional design and mechanical watches intended for regular daily use. This Day-Date model captures the aesthetic of the 1970s, with its cushion-shaped case, warm gold-tone dial and integrated calendar display. The combination of day and date was a particularly practical complication at a time when wristwatches were an essential everyday information tool. Today, vintage mechanical Timex watches offer an appealing connection to an era of straightforward, functional watchmaking, while their distinctive period designs have developed a character of their own. A charming vintage piece for collectors of mechanical Timex watches and enthusiasts of authentic 1970s design. Internal Reference Number - FLO-136
