Gaston Bussière (1862-1928) is a French Symbolist painter and illustrator, a student of Alexandre Cabanel and Gustave Moreau at the École des beaux-arts de Paris. This collection gathers short, finely wrought poems celebrating formal beauty, plasticity, artifice, and art through meticulous evocative descriptions of jewelry and precious stones. Binding signed at the tail by R. V. with light rubbing and slightly worn edges but overall in good condition.
