Background & Story (The People of Laaf): According to the Efteling legend, the mischievous People of Laaf fled the Arctic region when the ice began to melt. After centuries of wandering they arrived in the Lavenlaar, the fairy-tale village in De Efteling. In 1998, Laaf Products B.V. released this special Terra Lavartica Alphabet Collection. This stands for the copyright, the production year 1998, and the name of the designer Ton van de Ven.
