The Doors - The Doors (Japan) - White Label PROMO!! VERY...

A fantastic and highly collectible Japanese white label promotional pressing of The Doors' legendary self-titled debut album, released by Warner-Pioneer on Elektra Records in 1973 under catalogue number P-8339E. What makes this particular edition special is its rare white label promotional status. Unlike the regular Japanese commercial release, which features the familiar Elektra butterfly labels, this pressing carries distinctive white promotional labels. These copies were manufactured for promotional distribution to radio stations and music industry representatives rather than ordinary retail sale, making this a much more elusive variation for collectors of Japanese rock pressings. The album itself remains one of the most influential debut records in rock history, featuring unforgettable tracks such as Break On Through, Light My Fire, The Crystal Ship and the extraordinary eleven-minute The End, introducing Jim Morrison's unmistakable voice and the band's unique mixture of psychedelic rock, blues and dark poetry. Adding to the appeal, this example comes complete with its original Japanese obi and insert — the obi in particular is an important and frequently missing component of the original Japanese presentation. Combined with the promotional white labels and beautifully preserved vinyl, this makes for a particularly attractive collector's example. ⸻ Sleeve (VG+): A very nice, clean and solid example showing only light signs of wear. The jacket remains well preserved with minimal handling marks. Insert / Obi: Original Japanese obi and insert included. Vinyl (NM): Superb, top Near Mint condition. A beautifully preserved record with excellent shine and minimal surface marks. ⸻ Details * Japan 1973 pressing * Elektra / Warner-Pioneer * Catalogue: P-8339E * White label promotional pressing * Original Japanese obi included * Original insert included
