What you see in the image: • Central figure (Top): Christ in a mandorla (an almond-shaped halo) with green and orange vestment, seated in majesty. • Left side (Top): The Virgin Mary (with a yellow aureole) and a group of saints or apostles with raised hands in intercession. • Right side (Top): Witnesses, apostles or angels looking at Christ, beside a shroud or risen dead. • Bottom-left: A procession of the elect or angels in white robes (often the saved or martyrs). • Bottom-right: Sinners or the condemned held by blue demons or spirits. • Bottom (Center): A large blue devil or Satan in a fiery hellish flood, with teeth and flames devouring the damned. • Inscriptions: Ge’ez script (the classical alphabet of the Ethiopian Orthodox Church) above the figures.
