TAG Heuer Carrera Calibre 1887 CAR2150.FC6266 – 41 mm – automatic chronograph – solid 18 carat yellow gold bezel – silver-colored dial A sport-elegant TAG Heuer Carrera from the Calibre 1887 generation, executed in a combination of polished stainless steel and yellow gold accents. This Carrera stands out with the solid 18 carat yellow gold bezel, gold-colored crown and chronograph pushers, silver-colored dial and the automatic TAG Heuer Calibre 1887. The chronograph features the characteristic Carrera layout with three sub-dials, date display at 6 o’clock, and a tachymeter scale along the outer edge. The crown and both chronograph pushers are also finished in gold. The silver dial features applied baton indices and a clear tachymeter scale along the outer edge. The three sub-dials are symmetrically arranged at 12, 6 and 9 o’clock. At 12 o’clock is the 30-minute counter for the chronograph. At 6 o’clock is the 12-hour counter, combined with the date display. At 9 o’clock is the small seconds. The central long second hand is used for the chronograph. ────────────────── Year / production period Estimated production year: circa 2012–2015. The CAR2150.FC6266 belongs to the Carrera Calibre 1887 generation offered around 2012. Without a dated warranty card or other individual documents, the exact production year of this piece is not stated as fixed. ────────────────── Case Diameter: 41 mm The case is made of polished stainless steel and has the characteristic long, angular Carrera lugs. The bezel is executed in solid 18 carat yellow gold and forms a clear contrast with the steel mid-case. On the gold-colored bezel there are light signs of use and fine surface scratches. Around the display back are various factory engravings, including: CARRERA AUTOMATIC 100 METERS SWISS MADE SINCE 1860 CAR2150 Also the individual case/serial number markings are located on the back. The polished back shows light signs of wear and fine surface scratches consistent with normal wear. ────────────────── Crown and pushers The crown is finished in gold color and bears the TAG Heuer shield. On either side of the crown are the two round chronograph pushers. These are also gold-colored, with stainless steel connecting parts toward the case. The crown, pushers and gold-colored bezel together give the watch the distinctive bi-color appearance of this model. ────────────────── Band and clasp The watch is equipped with a black leather strap with crocodile pattern. The strap shows signs of wear, including creasing, wear, and signs of use around the curved sections. It is still mounted and usable, but should be considered worn. The folding clasp is a TAG Heuer stainless steel clasp. On the clasp are included: TAG Heuer logo TAG Heuer STAINLESS STEEL The clasp shows light scratches and normal signs of use. Dial: very neat condition. Sapphire crystal: clear and without notable heavy damage. Crown and pushers: neatly used condition. Case back: light surface scratches consistent with use. Band: clearly worn, with creasing and signs of use. TAG Heuer folding clasp: functional-looking used condition with surface scratches. ────────────────── Overall condition An attractive TAG Heuer Carrera Calibre 1887 in the less common steel/gold variant. The combination of the 41 mm steel Carrera case, solid 18 carat yellow gold bezel, silver-colored chronograph dial, black leather band and the visible automatic Calibre 1887 gives the watch a sportier yet classic appearance. The watch shows normal signs of wear, especially on the high-gloss polished parts, the gold bezel, the clasp and the leather band. The dial presents itself particularly neatly and the automatic Calibre 1887 is fully visible through the transparent case back.
