(t) CHINA. Yunnan. 7 Mace 2 Candareens (Dollar), ND (ca. 1911). Kunming

Resounding Post-Empire Crown in the Name of Kuang-hsu (t) CHINA. Yunnan. 7 Mace 2 Candareens (Dollar), ND (ca. 1911). Kunming Mint. In the name of Kuang-hsu (Guangxu). PCGS MS-63. cf. L&M-421A; K-169D; KM-Y-258.1; WS-0664. Variety with 4 circles under fiery pearl and 5 dots above dragon's right leg. Though featuring the name of the penultimate Ch'ing emperor, Kuang-hsu, these "immobilized" types with various secret points likely emanate from the decade of the 1920s. Pleasingly toned and still quite brilliant, this crown offers charming eye appeal. Estimate: $12,000 - $18,000. Click here for certification details from PCGS.
