(t) CHINA--PROVINCIAL BANKS. Yunnan Fu-Tien Bank. 5 Dollars, 1929. P-S3023D. S/M#Y70. PMG Choice Uncirculated 63. This crudely designed 5 Dollars is printed in deep blue and light orange colors. Its appearance is the result of excessive issuance that occurred during the last few years of the bank's operation. The final series of notes issued before the bank was closed down in 1930 and relatively scarce in the uncirculated grades. PMG Comments "As Made Ink." Estimate: $400 - $700. Provenance: From the Grass Unweeded Collection. (t) This lot was manufactured in China (including Hong Kong), Russia or Republic of Belarus and was sourced from outside the United States for this auction after tariffs were enacted by the United States.
