Lots 30232 to 30241: A Wonderful Group of First Series Renminbi Error Notes (t) CHINA--PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC. Lot of (2). People's Bank of China. 100 Yuan, 1948. P-806a. Error Note. PMG Extremely Fine 40 to About Uncirculated 55. Wan Shou Shan. Possibly an error given the following reasons: Serial number 6443630 has a long frame measuring 123 mm, and the paper measures 133 mm overall. Serial number 1874414 has a short frame measuring 120 mm, and the paper measures 131 mm overall. The official measurements for the 'Long Frame', printed on 5th February 1949, should be 122 mm and 132 mm for the paper, while the 'Short Frame', printed on 20th March 1949, should be 121 mm and 131 mm respectively. Our measurements show a larger difference between the two, and whether this is large enough to qualify as an error is up to the market. Estimate: $1,800 - $2,600.
