Obverse: Silver eight-pointed star with ornate border, gilt central medallion depicts Pagoda atop mountain, red enamel star above; Reverse: Date and legend around, serial number below pin. With original case of issue. This beautifully preserved example displays intact enamel with lovely rich old patina indicative of prolong storage undisturbed. A pleasing piece with much originality and good eye appeal. The Order of Freedom and Independence was said to be the most "serious" orders in the history of People's Republic of China (since 1949), which means each officer who was issued this order was archived with a unique number of the reverse of the medal. Estimate: $1,000 - $2,000. 三級獨立自由勳章。附授勳綬帶。 重36.40克；尺寸：50.77毫米。編號30770。正面：銀質八角星配花飾邊框，中央圓盤鎏金，山巒寶塔為圖，上方嵌紅色琺瑯星；背面：外環日期與銘文，別針下方刻有編號。附原裝盒。保存精美，琺瑯完整，包漿醇厚，足見久經靜置，未受驚擾。整體原味盎然，賞心悦目。獨立自由勳章被譽為中華人民共和國（1949年以降）歷史上最為"嚴肅"的勳章之一，每位獲頒此勳章的軍官均有檔案記錄，其獨特編號鐫於勳章背面。
