(t) CHINA. Fengtien. 7 Mace 2 Candareens (Dollar), Year 24 (1898).

(t) CHINA. Fengtien. 7 Mace 2 Candareens (Dollar), Year 24 (1898). Fengtien Arsenal Mint. Kuang-hsu (Guangxu). NGC EF Details--Chopmarked. L&M-472; K-244; KM-Y-87; WS-0584. Variety with wide-mouthed dragon. A SCARCE and desirable issue within the "Dragon Dollar series". A handful of chop marks and test punches appear on the obverse and the surfaces exhibit evidence of cleaning, but the details are quite strong and detailed for the EF grade assigned, with little in the way of apparent wear. Estimate: $2,000 - $4,000. Provenance: From the Yang Ai Hao Collection. To view all items from the Yang Ai Hao Collection, click here. Click here for certification details from NGC. (t) This lot was manufactured in China (including Hong Kong), Russia or Republic of Belarus and was sourced from outside the United States for this auction after tariffs were enacted by the United States.
