(t) CHINA--COMMUNIST BANKS. Bank of Kirin. 100 Yuan, 1946. P-S3063A. S/M#C73. PMG Very Fine 30 EPQ. A scarce note hailing from the Northeast and generally always found in very low grades. This note is well above average for type and is the ONLY note with the popular EPQ status, making it arguably the best overall condition example graded by PMG to date. PMG Comments "Minor Edge Damage." The Bank of Kirin was set up in March 1946 and moved its headquarters to Kirin. It was amalgamated with the Tung Pei Bank in October 1947 and its notes recalled in May 1948. This short period of independent operations is why these notes are all generally very scarce.
