[...] figures) Description Beautiful set of original vintage figurines from the renowned French manufacturer Starlux. These hand-painted hard plastic figures (scale approx. 1:32 / 60mm) date from the 1960s / early 1970s and are in a very nice vintage condition. The set depicts a band and sailors of the French Navy (Marine Nationale française) in their characteristic white summer uniform (tenue blanche). The sailors are beautifully detailed with their iconic white cap featuring the red pompom (the bâche). Contents of this lot: • 4x Naval officers / Drum-major in double-breasted jacket with rank stripes • 6x Musicians with various instruments (including drum and brass) • 4x Marching sailors with rifle • Total number of figures: 14 pieces Details & Features: • Brand: Starlux (Made in France) • Markings: Equipped with the characteristic green stand bases with the official Starlux stamp on the underside. • Material: Hand-painted hard plastic (polystyrene). • Condition: In very good vintage condition. The colors have remained nicely bright and the white of the uniforms is very neat. Minimal paint wear consistent with age. All fragile parts (such as gun barrels and instruments) are, as far as checked, still fully intact (see photos for your own impression). A wonderful thematic addition for collectors of Starlux miniatures and maritime militaria.
