Spain. Gobierno Provisional

Provisional Government. 1 peseta 1869. SNM Madrid. Extraordinarily well preserved First coin with a denomination of pesetas minted after the 1868 revolution "la Gloriosa" that dethroned Isabel II. Due to minting haste, instead of "España" they inscribed "Gobierno Provisional", corrected in later mintings. Obverse: It depicts Hispania reclining on the Pyrenees with Gibraltar at her feet, holding an olive branch and a rabbit at her feet.
