A graduate of the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Lyon, he began his artistic practice with graffiti alongside Jone Hopper in the early 1990s. His work is rooted in a free and instinctive approach, nourished by urban culture and contemporary plastic arts research. Over the years, his painting has evolved toward a rawer, more expressive language, blending abstraction, free figuration, and the energy of gesture. Known for a singular and immediately recognizable universe, Skepa develops a powerful and vibrant body of work, regularly presented on the international art market.
