The decoration, rich with artistic details of Nipponese tradition, depicts the structure of a Shinto temple: Torii Gate: the upper part is shaped in the characteristic gateway to sacred Shinto sites. Sacred Inscription: the central cartouche bears the Kanji 大神宮 (Daijingū), referring to the Grand Shrine of Ise (Ise Jingū), the most important and emblematic shrine in Japan. Naturalistic Motifs: enriched with refined floral reliefs, including wisteria branches with a sparrow in flight on the upper side and lush chrysanthemum flowers (Kiku, symbol of longevity and the Imperial House) at the lower part.
