[Signed] [First Edition] The Bottoms [Signed

Winner of the Edgar for best novel in 2001. A mystery, but also a coming of age story set in racially divided East Texas during the 1930's. This version precedes the trade edition and is the author's original text; the trade edition is slightly longer, differing from this version by "about two percent", according to the author's note at the beginning. One of 400 numbered copies illustrated by Alan M. Clark. 332 pages. First edition (first printing). A fine copy in a fine dust jacket and a near fine slipcase. This is copy 8, from the lifetime subscription collection of Tom Garner.
