[Signed] [First Edition] My Dark Places Ellroy

First Edition. Signed by Author Cloth. Jean Ellroy, the author's mother, was murdered in 1958. Her body was dumped on a roadway in a run-down suburb of Los Angeles. The killer was never found and the case was closed. A sordid homicide that nobody remembered, Except her son James Ellroy. He was ten-years-old when his mother died. He grew up obsessed with murdered women and crime which of course led him to a carreer in writing. My Dark Places is the story of Jean and James Ellroy from 1958 to all past points and up to the present. This is practically a treatise on 38 years of American murder. This book is in near-fine condition. It has a small red remainder dot on the top-edge and a tiny bump to the lower front board corner. The book is unread and it is in very nice condition. The dustjacket is not price-clipped and only shows a tiny bit of shelf-wear to the spine panel. All in All this is an excellent copy of a most revealing work.
