Michael Renton. Sketchbook. Leather-backed cloth, 400x195mm. 35sheets used, the remaining half unused. Pencil and ink. With extensive autograph notes on colour light and features of the landscape, as well as history and romance. Travel notes, with records of exoenditure, accomadation etc. A hand-made sketchbook 'I made and bound this book in the winter or early spring of 1954 and used it at intervals until at least late Autumn of that year.I began to use it again in february )(I think) 1971'.
