Octavo, 284pp., illustrated. "As told to Cameron Shipp." A very good copy in the publisher's black cloth, with some minor abrasions to board edges. In a very good dust jacket (supplied), with some small chips to spine ends, spine sunned, and mild general rubbing and creasing. A pleasing example, SIGNED and INSCRIBED by Sennett on the front free endpaper: "To Mitch, Best wishes, Keep laughing! Mack Sennett." Sennett was the leading figure in comedic film during the Silent era, and was the owner and chief creative force behind Keystone Studios ("Keystone Cops," "Bathing Beauties," etc). As with so many of his contemporaries, he could not adjust his production methods after the advent of "talkies," and his career fizzled out.
