A Fine book block and case with a Very Good jacket. The jacket is unclipped and bears some softening about the edges, along with small chipping and closed tears. Signed to Iris Apfel. Black and white photo inserts. Stated first edition. 378 pages. 5.75" x 8.75". The autobiography of Broadway producer Leonard Sillman (19081982). Written in mostly short, humorous bursts, Sillman's narrative style has the impish, while deserved, egotism of someone who managed to make it big in New York City. A stunning who's who of New York City performance art. This copy is signed and inscribed to Iris Apfel from whose collection it was acquired. Iris Apfel (19212024) was a fashion icon and a renowned designer and textile expert. .
